News Events Update:
On June 21, 2004, HTC signed a Memorandum of Understanding to provide an endowment to the University of Regina - the HTC Hydrogen Industrial Research Chair. The chair will focus on development of new hydrogen production technologies, including extraction of hydrogen from natural gas and ethanol, and the capture and/or use of related carbon dioxide. The event was well received by the media and the public, with approx. 100 people in attendance. Speaking at the signing, was Saskatcewans Minister of Learning - Andrew Tompson, President of University of Regina - Dr. David Barnard, and President of HTC - Jeff Allison (see pictures attached) This newly endowed chair will be the first alternative energy industrial research chair for the Univesity of Regina. It is very important to the City of Regina and HTC, as it will bring together the intellectual resources required for a recognized world leadership role in hydrogen production technologies.
