HTC Announces Hydrogen Memorandum of Understanding

HTC Purenergy today announced the signing of an MOU with Prudentia Investments Pty Ltd and ES Power Pty Ltd Australia who are the principal property developers across a number of large environmentally friendly property developments throughout Australasia, as well as distributors of environmentally friendly power systems. This MOU will provide for a “Hydrogen Production Staging Platform” to be built showcasing HTC`s commercial technology of on-site dry reforming of natural gas and crude ethanol into Hydrogen. Prudentia and ES Power are interested in HTC’s technology as it is unique in the way it dry reforms natural gas into hydrogen and captures CO 2 as part of the process.

The projects planned within Australasia are to utilize HTC technology for on-site reformation for both mobile fuel applications such as fuel cell vehicles, and stationary power generation for Prudentia’s environmentally friendly buildings.

HTC’s Australia based Managing Director, John Hanson commented that “We are delighted to be working with Prudentia. Their motivation to be environmentally friendly within their projects and their knowledge of alternative energy systems is outstanding and together we will be able to showcase our technology in this important market area. Australia is an excellent location for our technology as it has an existing natural gas infrastructure which provides an energy delivery network to most of the country”

Prudentia’s Chairman Angus Reed also commented that “The collaboration with HTC is very exciting for our projects as it will allow Prudentia to be environmentally friendly whilst reducing the CO 2 footprint across our project base”.
