CANADA’S AND SASKATCHEWAN’S ENVIRONMENT MINISTERS VISIT THE INTERNATIONAL TEST CENTRE FOR CO2 CAPTURE TO ANNOUNCE $45 MILLION FOR CO2 AND GREEN HOUSE GAS REDUCTION SOLUTIONS

Today, Canada’s and Saskatchewan’s Environment Ministers visited the International Test Centre for CO2 Capture (ITC) (home of HTC’s Technical Service Centre), to announce a new $45 million program for CO2 and Green House gas reduction solutions.

The Ministers toured the ITC, and were shown some of the latest post combustion capture technology in the world. Minister Baird was quoted as saying “The ITC is Canada’s CO2 Capture showcase, and is recognized throughout the world by the work that is being done on CO2 Capture and Enhanced Oil Recovery”.

The Chairman of HTC Purenergy – Lionel Kambeitz, was able to explain to the Ministers how the CO2 capture process works, and why this process is the most cost effective, and commercially available for installation in utilities world-wide.
