Team CO2
Team CO2 is comprised of the world's most recognized specialists and experts in product development in the area of carbon capture and management. For the past 20 years Team CO2 members have been the innovators and pioneers of HTC's CO2 Management Solutions, including Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) and OEM products. Focusing initially on EOR, through HTC's collaborative research with the University of Regina and the International Test Centre for CO2 Capture, we have gained first-hand knowledge about CO2 capture and management, EOR processes and the potential of oil yield enhancement at legacy oil fields. The scientific publications of the team exceed 300 papers in the field of acid gas absorption and EOR applications.
Dr. Ahmed Aboudheir, Chief Technology Officer for HTC is responsible for all of HTC's technology development for both CO2 capture and Hydrogen and its collaborative projects with the University of Regina. Dr. Aboudheir's expertise is in the modelling and simulation of complex chemical processes, design/optimization of solvents and catalysts and optimization design of Hydrogen reactors and CO2 absorption systems.
The University of Regina's International Test Center for CO2 Capture (ITC) is led by Dr. Paitoon Tontiwachwuthikul, Dean of Engineering & Applied Science - University of Regina. Dr. Raphael Idem, Associate Dean for Research and Manager of the ITC is the University's team leader for all of its collaborative activities with HTC.
