HTC's Team CO2 can provide "end to end" solutions for the design and implementation of an Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) Project using CO2 injection into depleting light and heavy oilfields.

Reservoir Engineering:

Screening suitable reservoirs for CO2 EOR.

  • Initial screening of reservoir candidates for CO2 EOR & storage
  • Performing reservoir characterization.
  • Conducting fluid characterization, including PVT phase behavior and interfacial  interaction studies.
  • Designing immiscible, near-miscible and miscible flooding.
  • Determining minimum miscibility pressure (MMP).
  • Determining the onset and extent of asphaltene precipitation and its effect on oil recovery.
  • Conduct reservoir simulation and modeling.
  • Optimizing CO2 displacement efficiency and storage capacity under physical and financial uncertainty.
