HTC Proprietary Hydrogen Catalysts
Along with the state-of-the-art hydrogen production technology, HTC Purenergy also provides a portfolio of highly innovative catalysts to our customers.
HTC's proprietary catalysts are environmentally and economically friendly, consistent and reproducible quality, designed for long term effectiveness, require reduced catalyst usage, and are cost effective for maintenance.
The HTC catalysts are made of low cost non-noble active metals supported on high surface area mixed oxide supports. Our patented catalyst preparation method, is one of the key factor in our catalysts superior performance. The HTC catalysts are robust, do not deactivate due to coking, and thus are durable and consequently have very long regeneration and replacement intervals. Also, as our catalyst are highly active and can achieve high hydrogen yields. That reduces the size of the reactor, which in turn reduces the capital expenditure.
By using nanostructured high surface area catalysts, we have dramatically lowered the cost and increased the efficiency of H2 production. We have successfully created one of the first stable catalyst systems, which can generate hydrogen from pure or mixtures of oxygenated hydrocarbon sources like glycerol, ethanol, methanol, etc, under realistic conditions.
During the course of testing, the HTC developed catalysts are subjected to extended operation cycles at our R&D facility, under realistic and stimulated operation conditions in order to test their endurance and performance. HTC has brought together a team of leading experts from both academia and industry, who are working on design and development of novel catalyst systems for multi-feedstock hydrogen production.
As part of our advisory services and operational assistance, HTC provides highly proficient support with the catalyst loading, activation, commissioning, and troubleshooting services.
In order to suit our customers' requirements, we tailor design the catalysts (Customized Catalysts) in accordance to their needs and desired application.
The catalyst portfolios that HTC is offering currently are as follows:
- Carbon Dioxide Reforming of Methane (CDRM)
- Membrane Water-Gas-Shift (M-WGS) Reaction
- Oxygenated Hydrocarbon (OxyHC) Reforming
