HTC PURENERGY RETAINS BARNESMCINERNEY FOR INVESTOR RELATIONS CONSULTING AND PROVIDES CORPORATE UPDATES
February 10, 2009 - Regina, Saskatchewan – HTC Purenergy (“HTC” or “Corporation”) (TSX-V:HTC), an energy company that is commercializing carbon dioxide capture and storage technologies, today announced the engagement of BarnesMcInerney as strategic investor relations consultants for the Corporation. BarnesMcInerney will focus on developing and expanding HTC’s communications with the investment community through an integrated investor relations program.

HTC has entered into an investor relations service agreement with BarnesMcInerney for a monthly fee of $7,500 for professional services for a period of six months. Neither Barnes McInerney, nor any of its employees, holds any interest, directly or indirectly, in HTC, or any right to acquire such an interest. This agreement is subject to acceptance by the TSX Venture Exchange.
The Corporation is pleased to announce that it has appointed director James Rybchuk to the Audit Committee and Jeffrey Allison as Corporate Secretary of the Corporation. Furthermore, the Compensation Committee recommended and the Board of Directors has approved amendments to the two existing Management Agreements, relating to the terms of termination and change of control, and by firming the terms of non-competition/non-solicitation.
