HTC PURENERGY LAUNCHES GLOBAL SALES & engineering FORCE
Regina, Saskatchewan – HTC Purenergy (“HTC”) (TSX-V:HTC),Canada’s National Champion of Carbon Capture and Storage (“CCS”) technology,today announced the launch of a CCS global sales and engineering force, dedicated to marketing and selling HTC’s CO 2 technologies and products worldwide through its partnership with U.K. based, Doosan Babcock Energy Limited (“Doosan Babcock”) and South Korea based, Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction Co., Ltd. (“Doosan Heavy”).
“In addition to positioning us to market and sell our products on a global scale, this initiative speaks directly to the fact that our technologies and products are ready for commercial implementation today,” said Lionel Kambeitz, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. “This initiative is another step in HTC’s plan to address the global problem of reducing greenhouse gas emissions from industrial CO 2 emitters.”
The new global team is comprised of over 20 engineers and marketing executives from Scotland, England and Korea who have graduated from training programs initiated by HTC and Doosan Babcock. The programs, designed to create a team of CCS experts, were held at the University of Regina’s International Test Centre of CO 2 Capture in Regina, a leading centre of product development for CO 2 capture and storage.
HTC’s strategic licensing agreement with Doosan Babcock and Doosan Heavy (collectively “Doosan”), among the world’s largest power plant boiler manufacturers and power plant constructers, positions HTC to sell and license its technologies through Doosan’s network of 20 global sales offices. The new global team will enable HTC to pursue opportunities from the development of new and retrofitted power plants worldwide.
