Launch of HTC’s New Commercial Initiative in Alberta

On the night of February 25th stakeholders, industry experts, media, and government gathered at the Hyatt Regency in Calgary, to help HTC celebrate our new commercial ventures in Alberta. Among those that came out to enjoy the festivities were HTC CEO Lionel Kambeitz, Senior Vice-President Jeff Allison, as well as our Alberta-based senior executives, Jessie Inman, Executive Director of Corporate Development and Allan Hart, Strategic Business Development.

The launch of this new commercial initiative in Alberta is important since Alberta is home to the second largest oil reserves in the world. As carbon management experts, HTC is poised to facilitate new ideas and solutions for the oil and gas industry within the province.

The Honourable Ronald Liepert, Minister of Energy for the Government of Alberta was in attendance to welcome HTC to the province of Alberta. He delivered a very warm and heart-felt message to the attendees, noting the importance of the Alberta Government’s support of carbon capture and storage (CCS) and the positive worldwide impact that this technology provides.

Jessie Inman, spoke to HTC’s objective to help ensure Alberta’s leadership in CCS is well established, and that we are providing energy security, protecting our environment and developing a new industry to help drive the province’s economic development.

Jessie said “I am extremely pleased to be a part of the CO2 solutions that are developing across Alberta.  I believe HTC’s technology and services can have a significant impact here and look forward to working with our Alberta partners and customers.”
